POLICE on Thursday arrested 20 persons in a raid at an alleged cybercrime den in Malolos City, Bulacan.
In a report to Police Regional Office 3 director Brig. Gen. Jose Hidalgo Jr., the Bulacan police identified the suspects as Raquel Sebastian, 45; Bryan Lo Revelo, 38; Israel Villaflor, 34; Gina Lyn Ebio, 29; Eloisa Laeda, 29; Joselito Buenavista, 28; John Paulo Dimarucat, 28; Mary Jean Biňas, 28; Joshua Escultura, 26;Renz Mhar Lacas, 24; Therese Feline Sebastian, 21; Jhelica Christel Borlongan, 20, and Luis Miguel Martin, 19; all of Hagonoy, Bulacan; Anne Kathleen Gelle Sese, 22, of Longos, Malolos City; Rhey Ian Eborda, 24, of South Signal Village, Taguig City; Shanti John Michael Jordan, 19, of Taguig City; Rhacel Mae Eborda, 19, of Upper Bicutan, Taguig City; John Daniel Villanueva, 19, of Apalit, Pampanga; and Francisco Melchizedek, of Parañaque City.
Joint operating units from the Provincial Intelligence Unit, RIU 3, RACU 3 and Malolos City Police Station conducted the raid at the Grand Royale, Bgy. Pinagbakahan in Malolos City.
Confiscated during the operation were seven computer sets.
Authorities said the suspects were using the online equipment in extorting money from foreigners in exchange for not spreading the victims’ explicit photos and videos online.
Hidalgo said the suspects will be charged with violation of Republic Act 10175 or the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012.
