CAMP LT. TOMAS J PEPITO, Sto. Domingo, Angeles City – The stepped-up police operations in this city resulted in the arrest of the no. 8 most wanted person in the region and a notorious drug suspect on Wednesday.
In a report to Police Regional Office 3 director Brig. Gen. Jose Hidalgo Jr., Angeles City police commander Col. Amado Mendoza Jr. said arrested was alias “Aaron,” of Bgy. Mining, Angeles City, in Purok 7, Bgy. Mining.
Alias “Aaron” was caught for carnapping and illegal drugs charges.
Joint operating units of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group-Angeles City Field Unit, along with members of the Police Station 3, Criminal Investigation Team-Angeles Regional Intelligence Unit 3, City Intelligence Unit and the City Investigation and Detective Management Unit (CIDMU) conducted the arrest.
The warrants were issued by RTC Branch 117 of Angeles City for violation of New Anti-Carnapping Act of 2016, with a recommended bail of P300,000, and RTC Branch 114 of Angeles City for violation of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Amado said “high-value” target Gervi Rey Aguilar alias “Soy,” 25, of Jesus St., Bgy. Pulung Bulu, Angeles City, was arrested in an entrapment operation on Benedict Square St., Bgy. Pulung Bulu, Angeles City.
Seized from the suspect were at least 60 grams of shabu worth P408,000.
“We will continue to revitalize our anti-criminality campaigns to identify and arrest criminals to bring them to the fold of the law,” Amado said as he commended his men for the successful operations.
The Angeles City police chief added that the stepped- up police operations were in compliance with the call of newly-installed PNP chief Gen. Rommel Francisco Marbil to the police force to be relentless in its anti-crime campaign.
