FOUR construction workers on Wednesday were buried alive in a landslide in Bgy. Dela Paz, Antipolo City.
According to the Antipolo City – Bureau of Fire Protection, the victims were aged 56, 37, 33, and 32.
Investigation showed the workers were clearing a retaining wall they had dismantled when the landslide occurred in Fairmount Hills Subdivision in Bgy. Dela Paz.
“The team tirelessly worked hand-in-hand and managed to rescue two people alive and was able to retrieve four casualties trapped under the soil and mud,” the Antipolo City BFP, in a statement said.
“The entire operation lasted for two hours,” it added.
An investigation is ongoing.
