A POLICEMAN on Sunday was arrested by his fellow police officers for shooting a driver dead in Bulacan.
Arrested was Patrolman Renzie Paul Sagum, 29, assigned at Doña Remedios Trinidad Police Station and a resident of Bgy. Catchile, DRT, Bulacan.
The victims were Wallie dela Torre, 33, a driver and Welbert dela Torre, 37, both residents of Bgy. Banaban 3rd, Angat, Bulacan.
A report to Police Regional Office 3 director Brig. Gen. Jose Hidalgo Jr. by the Bulacan police stated that the victims were having drinks in the village when the cop-suspect suddenly appeared and had a heated argument with the dela Torres.
A commotion ensued until the police officer pulled out a gun and fired shots at the victims.
Both victims sustained multiple gunshot wounds and were rushed to the Twin Care Hospital, where Wallie was declared dead on arrival.
Welbert is still being treated at the same hospital.
The cop-suspect was arrested by responding team from the Angat PNP.
