CAMP LT. TOMAS J. PEPITO, Sto. Domingo, Abgekes City – Angeles City police director Col. Amado Mendoza Jr. yesterday reported the arrest of a man wanted for child abuse.
Mendoza identified the suspect as alias “Rommel,” a resident of Bgy. San Jose, Angeles City.
The suspect has a standing warrant of arrest issued by Branch 10 of the Third Judicial Region for violation of Republic Act 7610 or the Special Protection of Children Againt Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act, with a recommended bail of P80,000.
Intelligence operatives of the Angeles City police arrested the accused at the Mel’s Gym on Nepomuceno St. in Bgy. San Jose.
According to Mendoza, the Angeles City police will continue in its unwavering efforts to eradicate all forms of crimes in the city to ensure peoples’ safety inside and outside their homes.
“We will continue to revitalize our anti-crime campaigns to identify and arrest criminals to bring them to the fold of the law. These are in compliance to the directives of PRO3 (Police Regional Office 3) director Brig. Gen. Jose Hidalgo Jr. in response to PNP chief Gen. Rommel Marbil’s call to the police force to give the best public service and keep the community safe,” he said.
