PRO3’S WEEKLONG CRACKDOWN HAULS TO JAIL 143 DRUG SUSPECTS

CAMP OLIVAS, City of San Fernando, Pampanga — Just six days into his tenure as Police Regional Office 3 director, Brig. Gen. Redrico Maranan has initiated crackdowns on illegal drugs that led to the arrest of 143 suspects and the confiscation of nearly P1.9 million worth of shabu and marijuana in Central Luzon.

Police in the region confiscated 274.396 grams of shabu worth P1,865,894.16 and 56.37 grams of dried marijuana valued at P6,764.04, totaling P1,872,658.20. 

The operations also led to the arrest of 143 suspects, including 126 individuals on the drug watchlist.

 “Our relentless efforts against illegal drugs reflect the dedication of our officers,” Maranan said.

 “We will continue working with the community to ensure a safer Central Luzon,”  he added.

Maranan called on the public to stay vigilant and cooperate in the fight against illegal drugs, emphasizing that community support is key to maintaining peace and security in the region.

Maranan’s first week in office has set a strong foundation for the anti-drug campaign, aligning with the PNP’s goal of drug-free communities.
