A MAN, who tried to rescue his live-in partner who was washed away by a strong wave while trying to take her selfie, on Saturday died of drowning, along with his brother who also tried to save him.
In a report to Police Regional Office 3 director Brig. Gen. Jose Hidalgo Jr., the Aurora police identified the victims as Raymond Moyano and his brother Marlon Ted, both of Bgy. Ditawini , Dinalungan, Aurora
Police were told that Raymond rescued his live-in partner Rowena Rouedas, who was caught by a strong wave while about to take a picture on a rock formation.
However, Raymond was also caught by the huge waves and washed away.
Marlon Ted tried to rescue Raymond but he too was drowned.
In a search operation, Ted’s brother, Mark Anthony, was able to recover the body of Raymond while Marlon Ted remains missing. Police and members of the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) are conducting search and retrieval operations to find Marlon Ted
