CAMP BRIG. GEN. VICENTE LIM, Canlubang, Calamba City, Laguna – Members of the Highway Patrol Group – Calabarzon on Wednesday arrested one of the most wanted persons in the region.
Suspect Jerimy Villarante, Laguna’s most wanted person for carnapping, was caught on the national highway in Bgy. Bubukal, Santa Cruz, Laguna.
Joint operatives of the Regional Highway Patrol Unit 4A under Col. Rommel Estolano, the Provincial Highway Patrol Team – Laguna under the supervision of Maj. Glen Alegado, and the Sta. Cruz Municipal Police Station led by Capt. Mark Philip Almedilla, arrested the suspect by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by Presiding Judge Iluminado dela Peña, RTC Branch 28, Santa Cruz, Laguna, with a P300,000 recommended bail .
The arrest of the suspect was a result of the intensified anti-carnapping operations by the HPG under the leadership of Brig. Gen. Alan Nazarro, in line with the chief PNP’s aggressive and honest law enforcement operations against carnapping, highway robbery, and other forms of criminality along the highway.
