AUTHORITIES said at least 65 foreign nationals suspected to be victims of summary executions were found near illegal Philippine Offshore Gaming Operator (POGO) hubs in Central Luzon.
Of the number, 33 were confirmed to be foreigners while the rest were “foreign looking.”
The bodies of the victims were recovered in different parts of Region 3.
Records showed that of the 33 confirmed slain foreign nationals, 24 were recovered in Angeles City, six in Pampanga, two in Olongapo City and one in Tarlac.
A dead foreign looking man was found in Bataan while two others were recovered in Pampanga.
Majority of the victims were found shot and strangled to death. Their bodies were discovered in different parts of Porac, Mabalacat, San Simon municipalities in Pampanga and in the town of Concepcion in Tarlac and in Olongapo City.
Investigations are ongoing to determine the identities of the victims and the perpetrators behind the killings.
Philippine National Police chief Gen. Rommel Francisco D. Marbil has ordered an investigation regarding the unsolved cases of the 65 recovered dead bodies of foreigners and foreign-looking nationals in Region 3..
