FORMER President Donald Trump on Saturday was injured in an assassination try at a rally in the US State of Pennsylvania.
Trump was seen bloodied on his right ear as he was being whisked from the stage, according to social media footage.
His spokesperson Steven Cheung said the former president “is fine.”
The Federal Bureau of Investigation identified the suspect as 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks, of Bethel Park, Pennsylvania.
The FBI early on Sunday said Crooks opened fire on a campaign rally in Pennsylvania, and was killed by Secret Service agents.
The Secret Service said one spectator was killed and two others were “critically injured.”
President Joe Biden condemned the shooting.
“There’s no place in America for this kind of violence,” Biden told a news conference in the state of Delaware.
The FBI said an investigation is ongoing.
