A PASIG court on Friday granted the request of Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) leader Pastor Apollo Quiboloy for an extension of his medical furlough.
Pasig City Regional Trial Court Branch 159 allowed Quboloy to go back to the hospital for another medical furlough until November 27 over dental issues.
According to attorney Israelito Torreon, Quiboloy’s lawyer, his client is suffering from dental implants infection so they requested the court to allow them to seek another medical treatment.
The KOJC leader’s medical furlough starts on Saturday and ends on Wednesday, November 27.
The lawyer refused to disclose other details of the medical furlough due to the sensitivity of the court proceedings.
Quiboloy was first granted with a medical furlough after he suffered from irregular heartbeat and was brought to Philippine Heart Center.
“Last Nov. 7, he complained of chest discomfort which prompted the PNP General Hospital to conduct a medical examination and based on that medical examination, it was found out that he had an irregular heartbeat that may be considered as life threatening,” PNP spokesperson Brig. Gen. Jean Fajardo said.
Last November 16, Quiboloy was brought back to Camp Crame custodial facility after almost a week in the hospital.
The self- proclaimed “Son of God” is facing trafficking case in Pasig RTC and sexual abuses cases in Quezon City Trial Court.
He is also wanted in the United States for charges of sexual trafficking.
