EVERY FILIPINO DESERVES CHRISTMAS – MARCOS

PRESIDENT Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. called on the nation to remember the victims of recent typhoons and other disasters this Christmas, emphasizing that every Filipino deserves to celebrate the Yuletide Season despite the challenges they face.

In his speech during the Christmas tree lighting ceremony at the Malacañang grounds on Sunday night, President Marcos urged everyone to remember those still recovering from the devastation caused by the series of typhoons and other calamities. “We all deserve Christmas”, the President said.

President Marcos reminded everyone that Christmas is a time of joy for all Filipinos. It is also the time to extend compassion to those in need, he said.

“But as we celebrate, what I would like, is to ask you to hold a thought for all those people who up to now are trying to recover from the effects of the six typhoons that we suffered in twenty-three days. Many of them are still in shelters. Many of them are still in need,” President Marcos said.

The President also mentioned the fire victims in Tondo and called on Filipinos to continue the tradition of helping one another.

“All of these people, let’s just keep them in mind and do what Filipinos do. Let’s help each other. And my Christmas wish is that despite everything, every Filipino should feel somehow Christmas,” he added.

Despite the hardships, President Marcos said the Christmas spirit remains unshakable in the hearts of Filipinos.

He emphasized the importance of setting aside the struggles of the past year to embrace the true essence of Christmas and the joy of family.
