A HARDWARE store owner was arrested following the confiscation from his store of guns and bullets in a raid in Subic, Zambales.
Based on a report to Police Regional Office 3 director Brig. Gen. Redrico Maranan, the Zambales police identified the arrested suspect as Francisco Ruiz, 50, of Bgy. Cawag, Subic, Zambales.
Ruiz is the owner of Frank’s Hardware store located at Sitio Matang-ib, Bgy. Cawag, Subic.
Members of the 305th Mobile Company, Regional Mobile Force Battalion 3 led by Capt. Randy Pascasio under the supervision of Capt. Romeo Batojan, together with the Subic police and Zambales 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company, implemented a search warrant against the suspect.
The search warrant was issued by the Third Judicial Region Regional Trial Court of Olongapo City for violation of Republic Act 10591 or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act .
Confiscated during the raid were one cal. .45 pistol with magazine inserted and six live ammunition; one cal. .22 gun loaded with four live bullets; another cal. .45 pistol loaded with 15 live bullets and extra magazine; and four pieces of disassembled parts of a cal. .45 gun.
