POLICE on Tuesday arrested a member of a gun-for-hire group in a raid at his house in Bgy. San Juan Baño, Arayat, Pampanga.
In a report to Police Regionl Office 3 Brig. Gen. Jean Fajardo,Pampanga police director Col. Jay Dimaandal identified the suspect as alias “Evan,” 45, of Bgy. San Juan Baño, Arayat.
Dimaandal said the suspect is an alleged member of a gun-for-hire gang and was arrested in 2022 for violations of Republic Act 10591 or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act and Republic Act 9516 or the Laws on Illegal/Unlawful Possession, Manufacture, Dealing in, Acquisition or Disposition of Firearms, Ammunition or Explosives or Instruments Used in the Manufacture of Firearms , Ammunition or Explosives.
Joint elements of the Provincial Intelligence Unit Pampanga, Special Weapons and Tactics Pampanga, Arayat police, 2nd Provincial Mobile Froce Company, Regional Intelligence Unit 3, Criminal Investigation and Detection Group Pampanga and the Technical Support Company Regional Mobile Force Battalion 3, executed a search warrant on the suspect for violation of RA 10591 or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.
Dimaandal said confiscated during the raid were one cal. .45 pistol loaded with nine live bullets, a cal. .45 magazine loaded with nine live bullets, one hand grenade and a black gun holster.
The suspect is now under the custody of the Arayat police.
