A 53-YEAR-OLD mother on Sunday was shot in the head in her home in Tarlac City.
In a report to Police Regional Office 3 director Brig. Gen. Jean Fajardo, the Tarlac police identified the victim as Joylyn Candido, a resident of Sitio Lambingan, Bgy. Burot, Tarlac City.
The victim’s daughter told police she was lying on the sofa in the living room and busy with the cellphone when suddenly she heard a gunshot.
She immediately checked her mother in the bedroom and was shocked to see her on the bed, with blood oozing from her head.
The daughter then saw a man wearing a black jacket and holding a gun fleeing on foot.
An investigation is ongoing.
