CAMP OLIVAS, City of San Fernando, Pampanga – The Police Regional Office 3’s relentless drive against criminality on Tuesday resulted in the arrest of a high-value individual and the seizure of illegal drugs and firearms in Bgy. Laoang, Tarlac City.
Personnel from various police units, including the Provincial Intelligence Unit (PIU), Provincial Intelligence Team (PIT) Tarlac, Police Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PPDEU), 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company, Tarlac City Police Station, Criminal Investigation and Detection Group Provincial Field Unit Tarlac, and the Regional Intelligence Division 3/Intelligence Operation Section (RID 3/IOS), served the warrant issued by RTC Branch 111, Tarlac City against alias “Rudy,” a 38-year-old resident of the area.
During the search, authorities seized a cal. .45 pistol loaded with live ammunition, an additional magazine containing four rounds of ammunition, a Magnum .357 bullet, eight plastic sachets containing shabu weighing a total of 50 grams valued at P340,000 and various drug paraphernalia.
PRO3 director Brig. Gen. Jean S. Fajardo lauded the operatives for their efforts and reaffirmed the PNP’s commitment to ensuring public safety.
“This operation highlights the Philippine National Police’s relentless campaign against illegal firearms and dangerous drugs. Our intensified intelligence-driven efforts demonstrate our firm resolve in upholding the law and protecting our communities from criminal elements,” Fajardo said.
“We encourage the public to cooperate with law enforcement by providing timely and accurate information that will aid in our ongoing fight against criminality,” the Central Luzon top cop added.
