ANGELES CITY — The no. 4 most wanted felon in Bicol region on Monday was arrested in Bgy. Cuayan, Angeles City, Pampanga.
A report to Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) director Brig. Gen. Jean Fajardo by the Angeles City police identified the suspect as alias “Mel,” a resident of Bgy. Cuayan, Angeles City.
Joint operatives of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) Angeles City Field Unit (CFU), the Regional Intelligence Unit 3-CIT Angeles, Regional Intelligence Unit 5-PIT Camarines Sur, Police Station 5 of the Angeles City police, Intelligence Group (IG), Technical Support Division, Provincial Intelligence Unit-Camarines Sur, City Intelligence Unit-Angeles City Police Office (CIU-ACPO), and the Sagnay police of the Camarines Sur Police Provincial Office arrested the suspect.
Officers were armed with warrants of arrest issued by the Regional Trial Court, Branch 30 of the San Jose, Camarines Sur against the suspect for five counts of statutory rape, qualified sexual assault, rape and violation of Republic Act 7610 or the Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act.
The arrested suspect was brought to the CIDG Angeles City CFU and will be turned over to the Sagnay police.
