SPEEDY POLICE RESPONSE FOILS SHOOTING INCIDENTS IN NUEVA ECIJA, BULACAN

CAMP OLIVAS, City of San Fernando, Pampanga – Fast  action by members of the Central Luzon police on Saturday resulted in the arrest of two men in separate gun-related incidents in Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija and Bocaue, Bulacan.

In Cabanatuan City, patrolling officers immediately responded to a 911 hotline call about indiscriminate firing  inside a subdivision. 

The police’s swift response resulted in the arrest of a gun-wielding man and the confiscation of a government-issued cal. .45 pistol.

Charges for violation of Republic Act 11926 or the Anti-Indiscriminate Discharge of Firearms Act were filed against the arrested suspect. 

In Bocaue, Bulacan, another suspect was caughtt for  allegedly pointing a shotgun at a resident while drunk.

Seized were the gun, a live ammunition, and other personal effects. 

The suspect is facing complaints for grave threat and violation of Republic Act 10591 or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act. 

Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) director Brig. Gen. Ponce  Rogelio Peñones Jr. lauded the successful operations, saying these reflect the proactive stance of the police force in safeguarding communities.

“These incidents underscore the importance of vigilance and timely police response. By employing enhanced managing police operations, in line with the 7- Focus Agenda of our acting PNP chief Lt. Gen. Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., we ensure that lawless elements are swiftly apprehended and the safety of our communities is prioritized,” Peñones said.

“I commend our Cabanatuan and Bocaue policemen for their professionalism and dedication,”  he added.
