A BUSINESSWOMAN engaged in gold trading on Monday was robbed of cash and valuables on Albatros St. in Bgy. Pandayan, Meycauayan City, Bulacan.
A report to Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) director Brig. Gen. Ponce Rogelio Penones Jr. by the Bulacan police identified the victim as Marinela Labudlay, 40, of Bgy. Saluysoy, Meycauayan City.
The victim was driving her BMW X5 (plate NIM 8608) when one of the suspects riding a motorcycle sideswiped the right portion of her vehicle and blocked her path.
Another vehicle then blocked her from behind. One of the suspects, armed with a hammer, approached and smashed the front passenger-side window.
Two other suspects – one reportedly armed with an unidentified firearm – confronted the victim on the driver’s side.
Another suspect also used a hammer to break the driver-side window while repeatedly demanding, “Where is the gold?”
The suspects forcibly took the victim’s wallet containing checkbooks, three copper plates valued at P100,000, credit cards, two ATM cards, her driver’s license, and cash amounting to about P20,000.
The suspects fled in a silver Mitsubishi Mirage (plate NCS 1341) toward the west service road leading to the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX).
Authorities found the motorcycle used in the crime, a Yamaha Mio Soul I (plate DA57553), abandoned at the scene.
Also recovered were the two hammers believed to have been used in the attack.
The victim described the suspects as slim-built males wearing green long-sleeved shirts, pants, shoes, and balaclava masks.
Personnel of the Meycauayan City police immediately conducted backtracking operations at possible exit points, and issued a flash alarm for possible apprehension of the suspects.
