AN 82-year-old businessman and his driver and female helper on Saturday were found shot dead at Purok 4 in Bgy. Baloc, Sto. Domingo, Nueva Ecija.
In a report submitted to Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) director Brig. Gen. Jess B. Mendez, the Nueva Ecija police identified the victims as Romulo Jimenez, a businessman, of Bgy. San Francisco, Mabalacat, Pampanga; the latter’s driver Theodore Sangalang of Bgy. Sasabay, Guimba, Nueva Ecija; and helper Rose Yuzon of Bgy. Baloc, Sto. Domingo, Nueva Ecija.
The three succumbed to multiple gunshot wounds. Jimenez’ neck and feet were tied with wire.
Caretaker Freddie Viloria, 50, of Bgy. Baloc, Sto. Domingo, discovered the bodies of the victims when he arrived at their container house.
Jimenez and Sangalang were found outside the container house while Rose body was discovered inside the house.
The house was in disarray and the door was found to be forcibly opened.
Police immediately secured the area and requested the assistance of the Nueva Ecija Police Forensic Unit (NEPFU) to process the crime scene and gather possible evidence.
Follow-up investigations are ongoing to identify the perpetrators and determine the motive for the killing.
