CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga — One of the suspects in a robbery-holdup incident in Bgy. Balite, Calumpit, Bulacan was arrested by the police during its daylong manhunt operations.
In a report to Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) director Brig. Gen. Jess Mendez, the Bulacan police said the suspects forcibly entered a house in La Residencia Subdivision and declared a holdup.
Personnel of the Calumpit police immediately launched a hot pursuit operation in coordination with various intelligence and operational units across Central Luzon.
Through extensive backtracking and review of closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage, investigators were able to identify the getaway vehicle used by the suspects.
Coordination with the Land Transportation Office (LTO) later enabled authorities to trace the vehicle, leading to the identification and arrest of one of the robbers.
The victim and the witnesses positively identified the suspect as among the four individuals who carried out the robbery.
Police said a criminal complaint for robbery in band under Article 296 of the Revised Penal Code is being prepared for filing before the City Prosecutor’s Office in Malolos, Bulacan against the arrested suspect.
Follow-up operations are ongoing to apprehend the remaining suspects.
The operation was conducted under the supervision of Bulacan Police Provincial Office Director Col. Angel A. Garcillano, with guidance from the Police Regional Office 3 leadership.
“This accomplishment highlights our intensified efforts in crime response and investigation. Within 24 hours, we were able to arrest one of the suspects, demonstrating our commitment to fast and effective police service.
