A 24-YEAR-OLD female political vlogger early Friday morning was killed while her live-in partner was wounded in a gun attack in Caloocan.
Slain was Alicia Lipata also known as Mima Alicia while the injured was her live-in partner identified as Nelboy Lluz, 24.
Mima Alicia succumbed to gunshot wounds in the head and body. Her live-in partner also sustained gunshot wounds.
The gun attack occurred in their rented house at Blk. 3 Lot 18B Tierra Nova Subdivision Main, Bgy. 171, Caloocan City past 3 a.m. on Friday.
The “couple” had just arrived home when two men riding-in-tandem suddenly appeared and shot the duo repeatedly before fleeing.
Neighbors who were alerted by the gunfires immediately check and found the victims bloodied and sprawled on the road.
The female vlogger was declared dead on the spot while her partner was rushed to the hospital for treatment.
The Northern Police District (NPD) has formed a Special Investigation Task Group “MIMA” to conduct a focused and thorough investigation into the killing.
Police are also reviewing closed-circuit television footage in the area to help identify and track down the perpetrators.
Mima Alicia was associated with the United Vloggers and Influencers of the Philippines and was a staunch supporter of the administration of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr..
