ANGELES CITY, Pampanga — An unidentified man was found lifeless after a reported drowning incident on Fil-Am Friendship Highway in Bgy. Cutcut, Angeles City on Friday afternoon.
In a report to Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) director Brig. Gen. Jess Mendez, the Angeles City Police Office Police Station 5 said the incident occurred beside a Korean surplus store along the highway.
Responding police personnel immediately proceeded to the area upon receiving the report and coordinated with the Angeles City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (ACDRRMO) for rescue efforts.
During the operation, rescuers located and recovered the body of the unidentified male under a bridge in front of Mansfield Residences in Bgy. Sto. Domingo, Angeles City.
The victim appeared to be lifeless when recovered. ACDRRMO personnel brought him to the Rafael Lazatin Memorial Medical Center for medical attention.
Police said further information, including the identity and condition of the victim, will be provided once available.
Authorities are continuing to document the incident and determine the circumstances surrounding the reported drowning.
