A MAN with a history of drug use reportedly stabbed his 3-year-old son dead in their home in Bgy. Lacong, Tagudin, Ilocos Sur.
The suspect fled after the killing.
The child’s grandparents found the boy wrapped in a blanket and with a stab wound in the chest.
The grandparents told probers that prior to the gruesome find, they saw the boy being berated by his father around 1 a.m. Friday.
Ten hours later, the grandmother checked the boy in the room and was surprised to see him bloodied.
The tot was rushed to the hospital where an attending physician declared him dead upon arrival.
Responding members of the Tagudin Municipal Police Station failed to find the suspect and the bladed weapon used in stabbing the child.
Authorities are hunting down the suspect.
