CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga — The Police Regional Office 3’s (PRO3) JBM “Kuyog System” has led to the arrest of a primary suspect in a shooting incident and his accomplice in less than 12 hours.
The gun attack that resulted in the wounding of a 32-year-old man occurred in Bgy. Longos, Calumpit, Bulacan.
The Calumpit Municipal Police Station (MPS) immediately launched a pursuit operation, mobilizing several police units for intelligence sharing, CCTV monitoring, suspect tracking and follow-up operations.
By using CCTV footages and intelligence reports, police traced the suspect’s movements from Calumpit to Malolos City before locating him in Angeles City, Pampanga.
On same day, joint police personnel arrested the primary suspect in Bgy. Cutcut, Angeles City.
Confiscated from the suspect were the cal. .45 pistol believed to have been used in the shooting and the motorcycle allegedly used as the getaway vehicle.
Another individual was also arrested for allegedly helping the primary suspect escape.
PRO3 director Brig. Gen. Jess B. Mendez commended the police personnel involved, attributing the operation’s outcome to swift coordination and the timely exchange of information among units.
“Sa ‘JBM Kuyog System,’ hindi kanya-kanyang galaw. Kapag may krimen, sama-sama ang kilos, mabilis ang koordinasyon, at tuloy-tuloy ang pagtugis hanggang mahuli ang mga responsable,” Mendez said.
