FIVE people, including four minors, on Saturday were killed in a fire that hit a house in Bgy. San Roque, Navotas City.
The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) identified the fatalities as Sarah Constantino, 41; Lorein Constantino, 17; Daniela Jocson, 15; Ruthie Tongco, 12; and Kayla Jocson, 12.
Authorities said asphyxia due to smoke inhalation was the cause of death of the victims.
Investigation showed the fire broke out in a house on Gov. Pascual Street in Bgy. San Roque at around 7:14 a.m. on Saturday.
The blaze was extinguished by 7:53 a.m. of the same day.
Initial findings pointed to an unattended electric fan on the second floor as the likely cause of the fire.
