THE “Oplan Paglalansag Omega” launched by members of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group Regional Field Unit 3 (CIDG-RFU3) on Saturday resulted in the confiscation of guns and ammunition in Tarlac City.
Tarlac CIDG chief Lt. Col. Jerrold Jake Manguerra identified the arrested suspect as Ace Meer alias “Jeffrey Navarro Custodio,” 43, a native of Iba, Zambales, and residing in Bgy. San Rafael, Tarlac City.
Meer was nabbed in an operation at Sta. Monica Heights Subd., in Bgy. San Rafael, Tarlac City.
Seized were one Armscor cal. .45 pistol, one magazine for cal. .45, 15 live bullets for cal. .45 pistol, one black holster for the same gun, another cal. .45 pistol with marking “U.S. Property,” one steel magazine for cal. .45 gun loaded with live bullets, one black holster, and an improvised shotgun loaded with one live ammunition.
The arrested suspect was charged with violation of Republic Act 10591 or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.
