BIÑAN, Laguna Mayor Arman Dimaguila brought early Christmas cheer to over 18,000 pensioners through the distribution of P3,000 local social pension to grandmas and grandpas in the city.
The program was based on a resolution passed by the City Council that aims to provide additional support to senior citizens of Biñan.
Dimaguila clarified that the cash assistance is separate from the P500 monthly pension provided by the national government.

According to him, the local pension program is a unique initiative of Biñan City designed to ensure adequate support for the elderly residents of the city.
The mayor assured the continuity of the program even if he is elected as lone district representative of Biñan in the House of Representatives.
“This local pension program reflects genuine care for our senior citizens. It’s not just a temporary initiative but a way to ensure a better quality of life for our elderly,” Dimaguila said.
He said the local pension program stands as a testament to the dedication of the Biñan City government to deliver meaningful services to its constituents.
