AN employee of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) on Sunday drowned while swimming at a beach resort in Bgy. Nagbalayong, Morong, Bataan.
The Bataan police reported to Police Regional Office 3 director Brig. Gen. Jean Fajardo that the victim was Arman Ballesteros, 43, a resident of Hermosa, Bataan.
A female witness told propers that she was sight-seeing on the shoreline of the beach resort when she saw the victim running before diving into the seawater.
Minutes later, the witness noticed that the victim failed to resurface from the water. This promoted her to ask for help.
Responding beach personnel found the victim floating in a nearby area.
The victim was rushed to the Morong Rural Health Unit but was declared dead on arriva by an attending physician.
