ANGELES CITY — Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr. on Wednesday led the inauguration of two more rural health units in the city.
The RHUs in barangays Tabun and Cutud brought to 10 the total number of primary health care facilities in this city.

Lazatin, 1st district Rep. Carmelo “Jon” Lazatin II, and Vice Mayor Vicky Vega Cabigting led the blessing and launching of the health facilities, along with other city officials.
With the opening of four additional primary care facilities this month, Mayor Lazatin said the city government is inching closer to its goal to provide the ideal number of primary health care units for the city’s population.
Five more additional primary health care units in barangays Pulungbulu, Anunas, Capaya, Amsic, and Balibago are also set to be opened, adding to the existing ones in barangays Pandan, Sto. Domingo, Lourdes Northwest, Lourdes Sur East, Balibago, Pulung Cacutud, Tabun, Malabanias, Pulung Maragul, and Cutud.
“Last 2023, we initiated the construction of nine more primary care facilities,” Lazatin shared.

When Lazatin took office in 2019, the city government only had six Rural Health Units.
The Angeles City mayor also ensured the availability of medicines in each facility.
Like his father, former 1st district Rep. and Angeles City Mayor Carmelo “Tarzan” Lazatin, he firmly believes that “those who have less in life must have more from the government.
