AN Australian national on Saturday was found dead and rotting in his rented house in Bamban, Tarlac.
In a report to Police Regional Office 3 director Brig. Gen. Jean Fajardo, the Tarlac police identified the foreigner as Kevin Barry Phillips, 80.
Phillips was found lifeless and decomposing in the house he was renting at Sitio Sampaloc, Bgy. San Nicolas, Bamban.
The house owner discovered the foreigner lying on the bed. The victim is already in an advanced stage of decomposition.
Prior to the discovery, the foreigner’s Filipina secretary told police that she sent messages and called the victim several times but did not pick up the phone, prompting her to ask the house owner to check on him.
The owner went to the house and smelled a foul odor coming from inside.
The house owner opened the door and saw the victim dead on the bed.
