OPERATIVES led by the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group 3 (CIDG3) on Sunday arrested two suspected gunrunners in an entrapment operation on Cuayan St., Bgy. Malabanias, Angeles City, Pampanga.
CIDG 3 regional chief Col. Richard Bad-Ang identified the suspects as alias “Oson,” 39, and alias “Drew”, 21, both of Bgy. Amsic, Angeles City.
Members of the CIDG Angeles City Field Unit, together with CIT-Angeles Regional Intelligence Unit 3 and the Angeles City Police Office – Police Station 2, seized from the suspects a cal. .9mm pistol without serial number and trademark, a magazine assembly for cal. .9mm pistol, five live bullets of cal. .9mm, a cal. .38 revolver, four live bullets for cal. .38 gun, a holster, a black bag and the boodle and marked money.
Police said “Oson” is involved in multiple criminal activities, including illegal drug trade and and robbery holdup, targeting Korean national.
“Drew” was previously detained at Bahay Pag-asa in Angeles City, Pampanga in 2022 as a child in conflict with the law (CICL) for statutory rape.
Charges for violation of Republic Act 10591 or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act in relation to Omnibus Election Code were filed against the arrested suspects.
