A FARMER on Saturday was found shot dead inside a tricycle in San Ildefonso, Bulacan.
In a report to Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) director Brig. Gen. Jean Fajardo, the Bulacan police identified the victim as Lolito Varela, a farmer residing at Sitio Viga, Bgy. Alagao, San Ildefonso, Bulacan.
Barangay Gabihan chairman Ferdinand Reyes informed the San Ildefonso police that a dead man was found inside a tricycle in the village.
A police team was dispatched to Purok 5, Bgy. Gabihan, where the victim was found.
Responding lawmen found the farmer inside his service tricycle, with gunshot wounds in different parts of his body.
Initial investigation showed that the victim was on his way home when upon reaching the provincial road, the unidentified suspect appeared and shot him repeatedly before fleeing.
Recovered at the crime scene were several fired bullets for cal. .45 pistol.
An investigation is underway to identify and arrest the gunman.
