THREE drug suspects, including a college student, on Thursday were arrested following the confiscation of some P204 million worth of shabu in a buy-bust operation in Norzagaray, Bulacan.
Bulacan police acting director Col. Franklin Estoro reported to Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) director Brig. Gen. Jean Fajardo that arrested were alias “Beri,” 44, a construction worker and a resident of Cavite; alias “Tine,” 36, of Quezon City; and alias “Bello,” 21, a college student of Cavite.
Another suspect, a Chinese national identified only as alias “Tongo,” eluded arrest.
Operatives of the Special Enforcement Service of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency National Office, together with the PDEA Regional Office 3, the Bulacan police, the Norzagaray police and the San Jose del Monte City police conducted the entrapment on the suspects at Payogi Leisure Hub on Old Barrio Road in Bgy. Minuyan, Norzagaray, Bulacan.
Estoro said seized from the suspects were at least 30 kgs. of shabu worth P204,000,000 placed inside two big vacuum-sealed plastic bags and 28 small vacuum-sealed plastic bags, the marked money, a cellphone, and several IDs and wallets.
A black Toyota Fortuner with plate no. NBV 6967 used in the illegal transaction was impounded.
All arrested suspects were charged with violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
