A POLICE officer on Wednesday found a dead farmer inside a tricycle parked on the road in Floridablanca, Pampanga.
In a report to Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) director Brig. Gen. Jean Fajardo, Pampanga police director Col. Jay Dimaandal identified the victim as Novabel Nocum, 59, a resident of Bgy. Old Palmayo, Floridablanca, Pampanga.
An investigation showed Cpl. Mark Alvin Ramirez, 35, detailed at Limay, Bataan Police Station and a resident of Matatalaib, Tarlac City, was traversing the Porac-Floridablanca access road near Bgy. San Jose, Floridablanca when he noticed a bloodied individual in a tricycle.
The officer pulled over and checked the trike and found a man inside, with a gunshot wound in the head.
The cop rushed the victim to the Romana Pangan District Hospital, where the farmer was pronounced dead on arrival.
Responding lawmen found at the crime scene one fired bullet of a cal. .38 gun.
Police are reviewing the CCTV footage in the area for possible identification and arrest of the suspect.
