SENATOR Grace Poe on Friday said the simultaneous stoppage of train operations must not be overlooked.
According to Poe, the causes of these disruptions, such as a burning wire, are serious and could impact passenger safety if left unattended.
“As we await the opening of more train lines, operators and relevant government agencies must ensure that the existing lines can transport our people safely and comfortably at all times,” she said.
Poe reiterated that regular maintenance and checks on the trains and tracks are indispensable.
“Our kababayans rely heavily on mass transportation, and every ride to their destination should be free from hassle or harm,” Poe said.
