POLICE arrested a construction worker trying to steal from a house in Mabalacat City, Pampanga.
In a report to Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) director Brig. Gen. Ponce Rogelio Penones Jr., Pampanga police director Col. Eugene M. Marcelo identified the complainant as Joel Cortez, 50, of Stockholm St., Bgy. Sapang Biabas, Mabalacat City, Pampanga.
The victim said when he arrived, he saw the padlock of his house forcibly destroyed.
Cortez immediately sought the help of members of the Bantay Bayan.
When they entered the house to check, they found out that some of the cable wires worth at least P1 million were missing.
Upon inspection, suspect alias “Sulen,” 30, a construction worker residing in Camiling, Tarlac, was still in the house, resulting in his arrest.
The suspect also informed the police of the hiding place of his two other cohorts , an alias “Torres,” 47; and alias “Domeng,” 37, both of Bgy. Sapang Biabas, Mabalacat City.
The three suspects are now detained at the Mabalacat police facing robbery charges.
