GUIGUINTO, Bulacan — Operatives of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) on Saturday arrested a hospital official turned top most wanted person during a manhunt operation in Bgy. Ilang-Ilang, this municipality.
Nabbed was alias “Anne,” a hospital administrative officer and a resident of Ilang-Ilang, Guiguinto, Bulacan.
The suspect is facing 94 counts of qualified theft charges.
CIDG Regional Field Unit 3 (RFU3) chief Col. Grant Gollod said the suspect was arrested by joint operatives of the CIDG Bulacan Provincial Field Unit, which served as the lead unit, and the Guiguinto police.
Police said the suspect was no. 5 in the list of the Police Regional Office 3’s (PRO3’s) most wanted persons and no. 3 most wanted in Bulacan.
The Regional Trial Court Branch 121 in Meycauayan City, Bulacan issued the arrest warrant, with a recommended a total bail of P3.76 million.
Gollod said the arrest was conducted under “Oplan Pagtugis” drive, the government’s intensified campaign against wanted persons.
