CUYAPO, Nueva Ecija — Police on Saturday night arrested a laborer listed as a wanted person in an operation in Bgy. Bambanaba, this town.
A report to Police Regional Office 3 director Brig. Gen. Jess Mendez by Nueva Ecija police director Col. Ritchie Claravall identified the suspect as alias “Jimmy.”
The suspect was arrested by tracker teams from the Cuyapo police, in coordination with the Bontoc police in Southern Leyte.
According to Claravall, the arrest was carried out based on a warrant for slight physical injury in relation to Republic Act 7610 or the Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act.
The warrant was issued by the Regional Trial Court Branch 39 in Sogod, Southern Leyte.
The suspect is now under the custody of the Cuyapo police.
