A KOREAN national on Saturday was found dead in a hotel room in Sta. Rosa City, Laguna.
Sta. Rosa City police chief Lt. Col. Dwight Fonte identified the victim as Inkyun Na, 56., an engineer of a construction company.
Police said hotel supervisor Christian Carlo Logatoc discovered the victim lifeless when he make rounds at 5 a.m. on Saturday.
The victim was last seen by the hotel personnel when he checked-in at room 324 of the SOGO Hotel around 1:57 a.m. on Friday.
Initial investigation showed Na allegedly committed suicide by slashing his arm using a bladed weapon.
Investigators saw traces of blood inside the hotel room. They also found a sharp blade in the comfort room.
Authorities said there was no sign of struggle as the victim’s personal belongings such as cash money, cellphone and other things were found intact.
Fonte said they waiting the results of the post-mortem examination conducted by the forensic personnel to determine the cause of the victim’s death.
