CLARK FREEPORT – A total of 1,296 individuals from Metro Clark, Pampanga received free medical, dental, and surgical services through a recent joint government and humanitarian mission held at this Freeport.
Among the services given in the event held from February 2 to 3 in Bgy. Balubad, Porac, and Bgy. Sapangbato, Angeles City included dental and surgical procedures such as tumor removal (tanggal bukol), hernia repair (luslos), and cleft lip treatment (bingot).
The Clark Development Corporation (CDC), under the leadership of its president and CEO attorney Agnes VST Devanadera, provided logistics, transportation services, security, and coordination assistance for the medical, dental, and surgical teams to and from the venue.
Partners, including the Philippine Medical Association in Chicago (PMAC), Hospital on Wheels (HOW), Luzon International Premier Airport Development (LIPAD) Corporation, and other public and private organizations, collaborated on this mission.
“On behalf of PMAC, I would like to thank you for graciously agreeing to co-sponsor this mission. The mission was a success, and the role of your staff, along with expert planning and execution, played a significant role in it,” Dr. Galvez said.
The PMAC, a non-profit organization founded on March 27, 1961, aims to provide free medical assistance to families living in underserved areas all over the Philippines.
Dr. Jim Sanchez founded HOW, which is also a non-profit organization. It operates as a mobile healthcare service aiming to address conditions such as goiter, hernia, cleft palate, and tumors, provide treatment, and empower patients with knowledge for self-care.
