THE Police Regional Office 3 received high praise and commendation in the 2024 Commission on Audit (COA) Exit Conference, a significant milestone underscoring the agency’s commitment to fiscal transparency and accountability.
The conference took place on February 26 at the PRO3 Stakeholder’s Lounge, Camp Olivas, City of San Fernando, Pampanga.
The PRO3 team under the leadership of PRO3 director Brig. Gen. Jose Hidalgo Jr., along with Deputy Regional Director for Administration Brig. Gen. Benjamin DL Sembrano, Deputy Regional Director for Operations Col. Rudecindo Reales and Regional Comptrollership Division chief Col. Jean dela Torre, showcased dedication to financial excellence.
The COA delegation led by State auditor IV Elizabeth de Vera and Audit member Jacob Alfonso lauded PRO3’s exemplary adherence to financial protocols and standards.
In their comprehensive Audit Observation Memorandum, the COA team highlighted PRO3’s consistent compliance with financial reporting requirements, encompassing aspects such as financial performance, cash flows, changes in net assets/equity, and budgetary compliance throughout the fiscal year 2023.
Expressing gratitude for the recognition, Dela Torre remarked: “The successful completion of the audit underscores the PNP’s unwavering commitment to transparent and responsible financial management.”
“This acknowledgment serves as a testament of our dedication to upholding transparency and accountability in stewarding the resources entrusted to us. We are resolute in our mission to serve and protect the Filipino people while ensuring the prudent use of public funds,” Hidalgo said.
The commendation from COA reinforces PRO3’s position as a model of excellence in financial governance within the Philippine National Police, further fueling its resolve to continue striving for the highest standards of fiscal integrity and public service.
