AN elderly Aeta on Sunday was found dead in the mountainous area of Sitio Baguingan in Bgy. Anupul, Bamban, Tarlac.
In a report to Police Regional Office 3 director Brig. Gen. Jose Hidalgo Jr., the Tarlac police identified the victim as Mario Victoria Sibal, of Sitio Kawayan, Bgy. Maruglo, Capas, Tarlac.
The victim and his three companions Eddie Carino, Recto Carino and Emien Carino, all residents of Bgy. Maruglo, went up to “Tengal Biga,” a hunting place in the mountainous area of Sitio Baguingan, Anupul, Bamban.
The old man, who was allegedly left alone by his companions, made a grass fire purposely to hunt wild pigs.
His companions later found the victim lying unconscious and almost burned from the grass fire.
The relatives of the victim believed that the elderly man died due to extreme heat and suffocation.
The Capas police will perform an autopsy on the victim to confirm the cause of his death.
