A WANTED kidnap-for-ransom suspect on Monday was arrested by the authorities in Zamboanga City.
Police Regional Office 9 director Brig. Gen. Bowenn Joey M. Masauding said nabbed was a 24-year-old suspect.
The elusive suspect was tracked down in his hiding place in Doc J. Estrada St., Bgy. Tetuan, Zamboanga City around 9 a.m. Monday.
Masauding said the suspect was tagged as the leader of the “Warla Criminal Group” who is listed under the 2023 Joint AFP-PNP Intelligence Committee-National Periodic Report Status on Criminal Gangs and Private Armed Groups.
A warrant for the suspect’s arrest for kidnapping-for-ransom with serious illegal detention was issued by the Parañaque City Regional Trial Court Branch 274 on October 3, 2023.
The arrested suspect is now being held at the CIDG Zamboanga City jail facility pending his presentation to court.
