A FEMALE teacher on Friday night was arrested by the police for peddling P1-million worth of shabu in a buy-bust operation in Zamboanga Sibugay.
The suspect, 59, is a resident of Laminusa Island in Siasi, Sulu.
“The suspect was surprised upon knowing that she was dealing with a poseur-buyer,” Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Zamboanga Peninsula (PDEA-9) director Maharani Gadaoni-Tosoc said.
A joint team of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency and police officers arrested the suspect around 7:25 p.m. on Friday in Purok Masigla, Bgy. Poblacion, Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay.
Seized were 150 grams of suspected shabu worth P1,020,000, the buy-bust money, and a mobile phone.
The suspect is now detained at the PDEA detention facility in Zamboanga Sibugay.
