A CHINESE national and his son on Tuesday were arrested following the confiscation of some P3.4 million worth of shabu in a buy-bust operation in Malolos City, Bulacan.
Nabbed were Anthony Chua and his 34-year-old son Jay Vie Cai, both residents of Lot 5, Block 2, Phase 2, Pleasant Village, Bgy. San Pablo, Malolos City, Bulacan.
Seized from the suspects were one plastic bag containing around 500 grams of shabu worth at least P3,450,000 and the marked money.
Operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency – Tarlac Police Provincial Office conducted the operation after a month-long surveillance.
Charges for violation of Section 5 (sale of dangerous drugs) in relation to Section 26B (conspiracy to sell) of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 were filed against the arrested suspects.
