CAMP OLIVAS, City of San Fernando, Pampanga — Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) director Brig. Gen. Jose Hidalgo Jr. said they are all set to secure a peaceful and honest election by deploying over 10,000 police personnel across the region.
The deployment was made days before the Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) on October 30,
On Monday, October 23, a send-off ceremony, along with the handover of resources and forces, took place at the PRO3 Parade Grounds.
The event was attended by the Philippine National Police (PNP), Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), and Coast Guard personnel, as well as force multipliers.
Media representatives and other guests were in attendance to witness the importance of the mission.
Part of the activity was the blessing of the troops and resources officiated by regional pastoral officer Rev. Fr. Lt. Col. Jonathan Chy, and reading of Statement of Commitment of concerned agencies followed by the message of Commission on Elections regional election director attorney Temie P. Lambino.
To optimize deployment and bolster the security presence at polling precincts, police personnel typically assigned to desk duties and educational pursuits have been reassigned to polling stations.
This strategic move will significantly increase the number of individuals responsible for safeguarding the integrity and safety of the election day proceedings.
Hidalgo invited the public to contribute to the security of the elections by sharing suspicious activities they may observe, either through social media (Facebook Page – Police Regional Office 3) or PRO3 hotline at 09985985330/09175562597.
