A FIRE on Sunday morning hit a bus terminal in Bgy. Calumpang, Marikina City leaving two people dead.
Police are verifiying the names of the victims whose bodies were found between a burnt truck and a bus parked in the terminal.
According to the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), the fire broke out at 9:24 a.m. Sunday at the BFCT East Metro Transport Terminal in Bgy. Calumpang.
Witnesses told probers that prior to the fire, they heard several explosions.
The BFP is looking at the possibility that firecrackers were being carried by one of the trucks, which might have caused the fire.
Also destroyed by the blaze were a big truck, a bus, and a van.
An investigation is ongoing.
