THE Criminal Investigation and Detection Group 4A (Calabarzon) bested the other field units after receiving seven awards in the recent 71st CIDG Founding Anniversary held on January 19, 2024 in Camp Crame, Quezon City.
The CIDG Regional Field Unit 4A headed by its regional chief Col. Jacinto “Jac” R. Malinao Jr. was conferred Best Regional Field Unit for calendar year 2023.
CIDG Cavite under provincial officer Lt. Col. Bryan Dexter C. Andulan was awarded Best Provincial Field Unit (Category A).
Cited as Best Provincial Field Unit (Category B) was the CIDG Rizal under provincial officer Maj. Leopoldo B. Cajipe Jr..
Cajipe was also named Best Junior Police Commissioned Officer for Operations.
The CIDG 4A also received a Special Award or the Best in “OPLAN PAGTUGIS” (Campaign for Wanted Persons).
Meanwhile, among the civilian awardees were Mataas na Kahoy Vice Mayor Jay M. Ilagan of Batangas, who serves as the chairman of the Regional Advisory Group CIDG 4A; and Charlie Shin, the advisory group’s vice chairman.
