OFFICERS and men of the Laguna Highway Patrol Team (Laguna HPT) brought joy to seniors and children with special needs at a home for the aged in Calamba City, Laguna.
The Laguna HPT distributed food, groceries, rice, blankets and other goods to the more than 20 residents at the “Bahay ni Maria,” a Home for the Abandoned Elderly and Children with Special needs located in Bgy. Sampiruhan in Calamba City.
According to Laguna HPT provincial officer Maj. Dante Aquino, the fund came from their own pocket.
Aquino said his team voluntarily gave contributions to make the event successful.
He said it is one way of showing the elders and children with special needs their love and care and for them to experience the spirit of Valentine. Sister Immaculate C. Ancog, the center head of the Institution, thanked the officers and men of the Laguna HPT for the good deed they have done for the elderly.
